How do I sell more books?

Written by LynnA

Selling books is like solving a puzzle. I love puzzles. There is something so satisfying in taking what looks like ill-fitted pieces that make little or no sense separately, and putting them together to create something amazing. It is problem solving at it's core. I take that same approach in helping authors sell more books. Give me your broken pieces and let me help you sell more copies of your masterpiece.

When the question you might want to ask yourself is, why aren’t I selling more books?

The answer isn’t the same for every author. It’s not dependent on genre, it is not dependent necessarily on experience, there are lots of different variables.

About one book per minute hits the Amazon shelves every single day. That’s a lot of books. So what you want to do is ask yourself, “How can I stand out?” I always recommend that authors put their best foot forward. Produce the best possible book that you can produce.

You’ll pay in sales later for corners you cut today in publishing your book.

Is your book professionally edited? Is your book professionally proofread? Did you hire a designer to lay out the interior pages? Did you hire a book cover designer to design your cover? A graphic artist isn’t the same as a book cover designer and that’s a really important distinction. Have you established your author platform? You can’t share and promote your book from your personal profiles. Do you have professional profiles set up? Are you where you need to be? Are you trying to sell a young adult novel on LinkedIn? Are you trying to sell a business book on Snapchat?

Your author platform is incredibly important. It’s the foundation from where you sell your books. How healthy is your platform?

I love to help authors sell books. Whether it’s your first or your 50th, I can help you build and grow your platform with author marketing coaching, book launch, and retainer services. Set up an appointment today to learn more.

As always, I am

Blessed to be a blessing.
