One of the issues I help authors with often is stepping outside of their comfort zone. I find this happens because many authors are introverts. So if you’re an introvert, take comfort, you’re not alone.
You’ve written a book, you’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears… your whole heart into your baby, and it is finally out there. But it won’t sell itself. There are so many books competing for reader’s attention that they can’t sell themselves, and so you have to step out of your comfort zone and promote yourself. What does that look like?
For some authors, it’s overcoming the fear of social media. For others, it’s overcoming fear of cameras. For yet others, it’s overcoming the fear of actually having someone read their work. I’ve helped authors overcome these fears and more.
What about you? What does stepping out of your comfort zone look like to you?
Remember, if you’ve written it, someone needs to read it!
You’ve written a book and someone needs to read it. How are they going to find you if you don’t step out of your comfort zone to promote yourself?
